Every blade is hand-forged in Kathmandu, Nepal from 5160 high-carbon leaf spring steel reclaimed from truck springs, water-tempered, and sharpened to a razor edge. The sword spear is one of the oldest practical ideas in edged weapons: take a long, sword-length blade and mount it on a handle long enough to give reach. The result does things neither a sword nor a short spear can. The 17-inch blade cuts and slashes like a short sword, while the 20-inch handle lets you thrust, keep distance, and put real leverage behind the point. Care & Maintenance

After every use: Wipe the blade clean and dry. Apply a thin coat of light oil (mineral oil, camellia oil, or 3-in-1 oil).

Storage: Store in a dry environment. Avoid long-term storage in the leather scabbard. Display stand or wall mount recommended.

Rust spots: Light surface rust is normal on 5160 carbon steel and easily removed with very fine steel wool (#0000 grade) and a few drops of oil.

Sharpening: Use a quality whetstone (1000-grit working) at 22–25 degrees per side. Avoid power grinders, which can ruin the temper.

Handle care: Treat the rosewood occasionally with a little wood oil to keep it from drying out.
