Survival Kukri | Heavy-Duty Hand-Forged Khukuri for Camping, Bushcraft & Outdoor Use
The 12-Inch Survival Kukri is a field-tested utility blade designed to endure extreme outdoor conditions and rugged environments. Inspired by the legendary khukuris used by the Gurkhas during World War II in Burma and Malaya, this model features a longer, heavier blade for enhanced cutting power and resilience — making it one of the most reliable survival and jungle knives forged in Nepal.
Hand-forged in Dharan, East Nepal, by traditional blacksmiths, this kukri/khukuri is made from high-grade 5160 carbon steel (recycled truck spring), semi-polished, and water-tempered to create an edge with excellent strength and edge retention. The blade includes a functional blood dropper to channel fluids during deep cuts — a feature rooted in kukri tradition. The 6-inch dark rosewood handle is full tang, fitted with a white metal bolster for extra strength, grip security, and hand protection during heavy chopping, slicing, or self-defense.
It comes with a handcrafted cottonwood scabbard wrapped in yak leather and includes two companion knives: the Karda for small cutting and skinning, and the Chakmak for sharpening the main blade in the field. Whether you're a bushcrafter, hunter, camper, or collector of historical weapons, this survival khukuri delivers real working strength and cultural authenticity.
What is a Kukri / Khukuri?
The kukri (also spelled khukuri) is a traditional Nepalese blade known for its distinct inward curve and powerful chopping performance. It has been a symbol of strength, skill, and utility for centuries — used by Nepalese farmers, outdoorsmen, and famously by the Gurkhas in battle. With both practical and ceremonial uses, the kukri is designed to serve as a machete, survival knife, combat weapon, and all-purpose tool in tough environments.
