This custom Spanish Conquistador-style sword is inspired by the elegant rapiers and sabers used during the Age of Exploration. Designed with a protective cup hilt, knuckle bow guard, polished blade, and rosewood handle, this sword offers a strong historical look with traditional hand-forged craftsmanship.

Each piece is individually forged from durable 5160 high-carbon spring steel and finished by hand by skilled bladesmiths at Everest Forge.

Design and Inspiration

This sword is inspired by Spanish conquistador weapons, combining the long elegant blade profile of a rapier with a protective cup hilt and knuckle bow guard. The cup hilt gives the sword a strong historical appearance while helping protect the hand, and the knuckle bow adds both style and structure to the guard.

Hand-Forged 5160 Steel Blade

The blade is forged from 5160 high-carbon spring steel, a strong and resilient steel commonly used for functional hand-forged blades. The blade is heat-treated and tempered for durability, then polished by hand to achieve a clean and elegant finish.

Rosewood Handle

The handle is crafted from rosewood, giving the sword a classic natural look with a comfortable grip. Rosewood pairs beautifully with the polished blade and white metal fittings, creating a refined historical appearance.

Spanish Cup Hilt and Knuckle Bow Guard

The guard features a Spanish-style cup hilt with a knuckle bow design. This gives the sword its distinctive conquistador and rapier-inspired character while also creating a strong visual centerpiece for the entire piece.

Leather-Covered Wooden Scabbard

This sword includes a black leather-covered wooden scabbard. The scabbard is fitted with a decorated metal chape, adding protection and a finished collector-grade presentation.

Craftsmanship

Every Everest Forge sword is individually made by hand. The blade is forged, shaped, heat-treated, polished, fitted, and inspected before shipping. Since each sword is handmade, small variations in finish, grain, weight, and fittings may occur, making every piece unique.
