Hollow Ground Survival Kukri – Lightweight Combat-Ready Khukuri
The Hollow Ground Survival Kukri is a tactical evolution of the classic Nepalese khukuri, engineered for real-world use in demanding outdoor environments. This new design features a 12-inch semi-polished blade with a precision hollow grind — reducing weight while maintaining devastating cutting power and control.
Hand-forged in Dharan, East Nepal, from tough 5160 spring steel, the blade undergoes water tempering to achieve an edge that’s both razor-sharp and resilient. The inward curve of the kukri remains true to tradition, but this model enhances performance with improved balance and a lighter build, making it ideal for survival, bushcraft, and combat-style cutting tasks.
The 6-inch full tang handle is crafted from dark rosewood and fitted with a white metal bolster that protects your hand during heavy swings or extended work. This kukri does not include a Karda or Chakmak — intentionally stripped down to focus on function, balance, and carryability. The included scabbard is handcrafted from yak leather over a cottonwood core for traditional strength and protection.
