Custom Bearded Wood-Splitting Axe Head – Extended Phantom Bevels

Built to the customer-approved design, this custom bearded wood-splitting axe head combines a pointed cutting profile, extended phantom bevels, and a heavy maul-style poll for practical splitting work.

The large phantom bevels extend further back from the cutting edge to help the axe sink deeper into wood and reduce binding during splitting. The rear poll is designed for controlled hammer strikes when used like a maul.

Heat Treatment

The axe head will receive selective heat treatment suited to its intended purpose. The cutting edge will be tempered to maintain practical sharpness while helping reduce the risk of chipping during wood splitting. The rear poll and back section will be left comparatively softer for durability when struck like a maul.

Hand-Forged to Order

Each axe head is individually forged and shaped by hand in our workshop. Progress photos will be shared during forging, followed by final photos for approval before shipping.

Production & Delivery

Please allow approximately 10–12 days for forging and finishing, followed by around 10–15 days for delivery.
