Hand-Forged Fantasy Sword Inspired by Mordred's Clarent — Full-Tang High-Carbon Blade with Red-and-Silver Fittings
This is a hand-forged, fully functional fantasy greatsword inspired by the appearance of Mordred's Clarent from the Fate series — forged in Nepal from high-carbon steel, full tang, and given a clean satin polish. It captures the sword's striking red-and-silver styling: a bright satin blade with a red motif, a bold winged guard in red and silver, a red-wrapped grip, and a matching red leather scabbard with decorative silver fittings. Every sword is made to order, and can be tailored to your own reference images.
The blade is 35 inches on a 10-inch two-handed handle, for a commanding overall length around 45 inches. It is built as a real, full-tang forged sword for display, cosplay, photography, and collections — a dramatic centrepiece rather than a cast wall-hanger.
Inspired by — not affiliated. This is an original hand-forged tribute inspired by the look of Mordred's Clarent from the Fate series. Everest Forge is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or licensed by Type-Moon or the rights holders of Fate. It is an independent, fan-made interpretation — not an official or licensed product — handcrafted in our own style.

Clarent is a legendary sword from Arthurian tradition, later made famous to a new generation as the blade wielded by Mordred in the Fate series, known for its dramatic red-and-silver design and aggressive, elegant silhouette. This hand-forged tribute recreates that distinctive look in real forged steel: the winged, ornamented guard, the red detailing against a bright satin blade, and the red-wrapped grip with a shaped pommel. It is our own interpretation, built to be handled and displayed.

What is Clarent, and whose sword is it?
Clarent is a legendary sword from Arthurian tradition, and it is well known to modern audiences as the blade wielded by Mordred in the Fate series, with a distinctive red-and-silver design. This piece is our own hand-forged tribute inspired by that appearance, not an official product.
Is this an official Fate or Type-Moon product?
No. This is an independent, fan-made tribute inspired by the look of Mordred's Clarent. Everest Forge is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by Type-Moon or the Fate series. It is handcrafted in our own style, and small variations from any on-screen version are part of the hand-forging process.
Is this a real, functional sword?
Yes. It is hand-forged from high-carbon steel with a full tang, built as a real sword rather than a cast display piece. You can order it sharpened to a true edge or left display-blunt, depending on how you plan to use it.
Is it full tang?
Yes. The tang runs the full length of the handle, so there is no rat-tail or glued-in tang to fail. Full-tang construction is what gives the sword its strength and durability for handling and display.
How big is it, and is it two-handed?
The standard blade is 35 inches on a 10-inch handle, for an overall length around 45 inches. The long grip is designed for balanced two-handed use, giving it the commanding presence of the on-screen sword.
Can you match my own reference images?
Yes. We can match the detailing to specific reference images you send, and adjust blade length, handle materials, scabbard, and edge configuration during forging. Send your references through the Custom Forge page and we will build to them.
What is the finish and the red-and-silver styling?
The blade is given a clean satin polish with a red motif, and the winged guard and fittings are finished in the signature red-and-silver look. The detailing is shaped and applied by hand, so each sword has slight individual variation.
Can I choose sharpened or blunt?
Yes. You can order the sword sharpened to a true cutting edge, or left display-blunt for safer handling at conventions and photo shoots. Choose the edge option when you order.
Does it come with a scabbard?
Yes. It ships with a matching red leather scabbard with decorative silver fittings, made by hand to fit the blade size you order.
Can I add engraving or a display plaque?
Yes. You can add a name, initials, or a short message by engraving, and we offer display options such as plaques. Personalized builds are made to order, so please confirm the details before you buy.
Is it good for cosplay and display?
Yes. The dramatic styling and full-tang build make it a striking piece for cosplay, costume, photo shoots, and themed display. Choose the display-blunt edge option if you want it for safe handling on set.
Do you ship worldwide, and how long does it take?
Yes. This is a made-to-order sword that takes roughly 4 to 6 weeks to forge, then ships worldwide from Nepal by DHL or FedEx in 7 to 14 business days with tracking. Import and blade laws vary by country, so please check your local rules before ordering.
