Chitlange Wooden Scabbard Khukuri – Hand-Forged Traditional Kukri with Decorative Rosewood Sheath
The Chitlange Superior Khukuri is a beautifully refined evolution of the traditional Chainpure-style kukri. Crafted for both cutting efficiency and cultural expression, this khukuri features a high-polish blade with a wide forged bevel and a flared rosewood handle—delivering power, precision, and aesthetics in one traditional form.
Its defining feature is the extended forged bevel that runs from the tip to the notch, giving the blade the strength of an "I-beam" while maintaining lightness and speed. The convex edge enhances slicing ability, and the slim profile ensures balance and control. The blade also includes the symbolic footmark notch, paying tribute to Nepalese heritage and representing reverence for the sacred cow.
This 17-inch blade is hand-forged in Nepal from 5160 high carbon steel, water-tempered for optimal hardness and edge retention. The 6-inch rosewood handle is built in the traditional rat-tail tang style, peened over a solid brass pommel cap for durability. What truly completes this khukuri is the elegantly carved rosewood scabbard with decorative detailing—a standout tribute to traditional Nepalese artistry.
