Prince Nuada Sirupate Khukuri / Kukri — 16-Inch Hand-Forged Hellboy II Set with Karda Dagger
The Everest Forge Nuada Sirupate Khukuri is a limited collector's two-piece set — combining the legendary Nepalese Sirupate kukri profile with a Hellboy II-inspired Prince Nuada handle aesthetic, and including a matching Karda dagger that's a miniature of Prince Nuada's iconic spear. Hand-forged in Kathmandu from 5160 high carbon spring steel, water-tempered, full-tang construction. 16-inch curved Sirupate blade, 11-inch rosewood handle with ornate gold-tone brass collar (matching the Bethmoora-clan aesthetic), brass-tipped leather scabbard, and Nuada-spear-style Karda dagger included. Total kukri length 27 inches, weight 975 grams.
This is unlike anything else on the market. The Sirupate kukri (also spelled khukuri) is one of the most elegant traditional Nepalese blade profiles — narrow, agile, lightning-fast for slicing. We've paired it with the ornate gold-tone handle aesthetic of Prince Nuada Silverlance from Hellboy II: The Golden Army. And as the Karda (the small companion dagger traditionally included with every kukri), instead of the standard utility knife we forged a miniature Prince Nuada's spear — same gold collar, same leaf blade, same regal aesthetic. The result: a matched two-piece collector's set that looks like it could have been forged for a Nepalese-elven warrior prince.
Note: The Hellboy-inspired design elements are an unofficial, hand-forged tribute / fan creation. Each piece is individually decorated — slight variations in handle design and brass detail are normal. Limited edition, available only from Everest Forge. Not affiliated with Universal Pictures, Dark Horse Comics, or any rights holder of the Hellboy franchise.

Customise Your Set → Ask a Question →The Two-Piece Set — What Makes This Unique
Most Sirupate kukris come with a small utility Karda blade that's purely functional — a tiny utility knife in the scabbard pocket. Most Hellboy II replicas are single weapons. This product combines both into something nobody else makes:
Main Sirupate Kukri
16-inch curved Sirupate blade with the classic narrow, fast-slicing profile. Three drilled holes near the heel (signature Sirupate detail). Dual parallel grooves along the spine.
Nuada Spear Karda Dagger
Instead of a plain utility Karda, we forged a miniature Prince Nuada's spear. Same leaf-blade profile, same ornate gold-tone collar, same regal aesthetic as the full-size Hellboy II spear.
Matching Gold-Tone Handles
Both pieces share the same Hellboy II Bethmoora-clan-style ornate gold-tone brass collars and engraved fittings. Visual unity = museum-quality presentation.
Brass-Chape Scabbard
Hand-stitched black leather-wrapped wooden scabbard with decorative brass chape (tip cap). Holds both the kukri and the Karda dagger together as a complete set.
5160 Spring Steel
Both blades hand-forged from 5160 high carbon spring steel. Water-tempered. Triple-riveted full-tang construction. Real working edges.
Limited Collector's Edition
Available only from Everest Forge. Hand-decorated individually — no two are exactly alike. A genuine collector's piece.

The Sirupate Kukri / Khukuri — Nepal's Elegant Combat Blade
The Sirupate (sometimes written as Siru-pate) is one of the most beloved kukri / khukuri profiles in Nepalese tradition. The name comes from the Siru plant — a tall slender grass native to the Himalayan foothills — whose long narrow leaves the Sirupate blade resembles. Where heavier kukri profiles like the Bhojpure are designed for chopping power, the Sirupate is built for speed, agility, and precision slicing.
For centuries, Sirupate kukris have been the preferred sidearm of Gurkha warriors who needed a blade light enough to carry on long marches but lethal enough to win in close combat. The narrow profile makes the Sirupate exceptionally fast in the hand — ideal for dueling, defensive use, ceremonial display, and combat. The three drilled holes at the heel of the blade are a signature Sirupate detail, while the dual parallel fullers along the spine reduce weight without sacrificing strength.
Our hand-forged Sirupate stays true to this tradition. The only departure is the handle — which we've reimagined with the ornate gold-tone aesthetic of Hellboy II's Prince Nuada Silverlance.
Both the Nepali spelling khukuri and the English transliteration kukri refer to this same family of blades. Our pieces honour the traditional craft regardless of which spelling you use.
The Prince Nuada Connection — Hellboy II Design Language
If you've seen Hellboy II: The Golden Army, you'll recognise this handle design instantly. Director Guillermo del Toro's design team created a distinctive aesthetic for Prince Nuada Silverlance and his Bethmoora Clan: ornate gold-tone metal collars, hand-engraved geometric motifs, leather-wrapped grips, and decorative pommels that suggest ancient elven royalty.
Our Sirupate handle pays direct tribute to this design language. The gold-tone brass collar, the engraved patterns, the leather wrap, the decorative band — all evoke Prince Nuada's signature weapon style. And the included Karda dagger doesn't just match aesthetically — it's literally a miniature of Prince Nuada's spear, complete with leaf-shaped blade and matching gold-tone fittings.
Display this kukri set next to our hand-forged Prince Nuada's Spear, Hellboy II Golden Army Sword, and Hellboy II Khopesh Sword and you'll see they form a unified collection — the kind of arsenal a Bethmoora warlord might actually carry.
Complete Your Hellboy II Collection
Build the Full Hand-Forged Bethmoora Arsenal
This Sirupate Kukri set joins our complete Hellboy II hand-forged collection — the only matched set of its kind anywhere. Each piece shares the same ornate gold-tone metal aesthetic, same Bethmoora-clan design language, same hand-forged 5160 spring steel.
Prince Nuada's Spear → Golden Army Sword → Hellboy Khopesh → All Kukris →Who This Kukri Set Is For
Hellboy fans & movie collectors — The most unique piece in any Hellboy II collection. The matched kukri-and-spear-Karda concept means you're getting two themed blades in one set. Display alongside your spear, sword, and khopesh.
Kukri / Khukuri collectors — A premium hand-forged Sirupate by Nepalese masters in 5160 spring steel with traditional triple-riveted full-tang construction and dual fullers. Even without the Hellboy connection, this is a museum-quality Sirupate piece.
Cosplayers — Building a Prince Nuada cosplay, dark elven assassin, or fantasy warrior character? This is your blade set. Real metal kukri + matching dagger for authentic dual-wield presence. Blunt training-edge versions available for convention safety at no extra charge.
Fantasy weapon collectors — The Sirupate kukri profile is exotic enough to fit dark fantasy, elven, or Asian-inspired collections. The ornate gold-tone handle elevates it beyond ordinary kukris.
Gurkha military & tradition enthusiasts — While the handle is fantasy-themed, the Sirupate blade itself is a faithful Nepalese tradition piece. Functional Gurkha-style kukri with elevated aesthetic.
Reenactors & performers — Works for fantasy LARP, dark-fantasy theatrical productions, elven-warrior roleplay, or Asian-fantasy crossover collections. Real authentic steel, not foam props.
Gift buyers — Hellboy fan, kukri collector, or fantasy weapon enthusiast in your life? This is a knockout gift — a matched 2-piece set is always more memorable than a single weapon. Add free engraving with their name and presentation date for an heirloom keepsake. See engraving options.

Care & Maintenance
After every use: Wipe both blades clean and dry. Apply a thin coat of light oil (mineral oil, camellia oil, or 3-in-1 oil).
Storage: Store in a dry environment. Avoid long-term storage in the leather scabbard. Display stand or wall mount recommended.
Rust spots: Light surface rust is normal on 5160 carbon steel and easily removed with very fine steel wool (#0000 grade) and a few drops of oil.
Sharpening: Use a quality whetstone (1000-grit working) at 22–25 degrees per side. Avoid power grinders, which can ruin the temper.
Brass & gold-tone fittings: Polish occasionally with a soft dry cloth (no abrasives or chemicals). Light tarnish on brass adds character — if removal preferred, use a brass-specific polish.

What's the difference between Kukri and Khukuri?
None — they're the same blade. Khukuri is the Nepali spelling and the traditional / formal name; kukri is the English transliteration commonly used outside Nepal. Both refer to the same iconic curved Nepalese blade. We use both spellings on our site to honour the tradition while remaining searchable for English-speaking customers.
What is a Sirupate kukri / khukuri?
The Sirupate is one of the most refined traditional Nepalese kukri profiles. The name comes from the Siru plant, a tall slender grass found in the Himalayan foothills, whose narrow leaves the blade resembles. Compared to heavier chopping kukris like the Bhojpure, the Sirupate is built for speed, agility, and precision slicing. It's been a favoured combat blade of Gurkha warriors for centuries because it's light enough for long marches yet lethal in close combat.
Is this an officially licensed Hellboy II replica?
No. The Hellboy-inspired handle design is an unofficial, hand-forged tribute / fan creation inspired by Prince Nuada's weapons in Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008). It is not licensed by Universal Pictures, Dark Horse Comics, Guillermo del Toro, or any rights holder of the Hellboy franchise. The Sirupate kukri blade itself is a traditional Nepalese reproduction.
What's a Karda and why does this one look like a spear?
A Karda is the small companion knife traditionally included in the scabbard pocket alongside every kukri / khukuri. Traditionally it's a plain utility knife used for fine tasks. For this Hellboy-inspired set, instead of the standard utility Karda, we forged a miniature version of Prince Nuada's spear from Hellboy II — same leaf-shaped blade, same ornate gold-tone collar, same decorative aesthetic. So you're getting a matched 2-piece set: a Sirupate kukri + a miniature Nuada spear, both designed as a unified collector's piece.
What blade length should I order?
The default 16-inch blade is the most balanced choice — traditional Sirupate proportions, ideal for both display and functional use. 14-inch (-$25) for a more compact, easier-to-display piece. 18-inch (+$25) for collectors who want more presence. 20-inch (+$45) is approaching kukri-sword territory — impressive for display but harder to use functionally. The Karda dagger is included regardless of which kukri length you choose.
Why are there three drilled holes at the heel of the blade?
The three holes near the kukri heel (called the cho or kaudi) are a signature Sirupate detail in traditional Nepalese kukri-making. Some interpretations say they symbolise blood drainage during combat use; others see them as a Hindu-religious symbol; modern functional interpretations suggest they reduce weight and improve balance at the spine. In our hand-forged Sirupates, we maintain this traditional detail as a tribute to the craft heritage.
Are both blades sharpened?
Yes. Both the Sirupate kukri and the Karda dagger are forged from 5160 high carbon spring steel, water-tempered, full-tang, and sharpened to a working edge. For cosplay, convention display, or stage combat where blunt blades are required, request blunt training-edge versions at no extra charge.
Is this kukri set safe for cosplay conventions?
Convention rules vary. Many require live steel weapons to be peace-bonded into the scabbard, or require blunt-edge versions. Request our blunt training-edge versions of both blades at no extra charge for cosplay use. Always check your specific convention's weapons policy — some larger conventions ban functional metal weapons entirely.
How does this kukri match my Hellboy II collection?
Beautifully. The handle features the same ornate gold-tone brass collar, engraved fittings, and leather wrap as our Prince Nuada's Spear, Hellboy II Golden Army Sword, and Hellboy II Khopesh Sword. Even better, the included Karda dagger is itself a miniature of the Prince Nuada Spear — making this set a natural companion piece. Together with the rest of our Hellboy II line, they form a unified Bethmoora-themed collection — the only matched hand-forged Hellboy II set on Earth.
Can the kukri be used for actual chopping or bushcraft?
Yes — the Sirupate is a real functional kukri, not a wall-hanger. Hand-forged 5160 spring steel, full tang, sharpened working edge, triple-riveted handle. That said, the Sirupate is a slicing-focused profile rather than a heavy chopper. For dedicated bushcraft chopping, our heavier working kukri profiles are better suited. For combat, dueling, ceremonial display, light bushcraft, and slicing tasks, the Sirupate is excellent.
Will I have to pay customs duties?
International orders may incur customs duties, VAT, GST, or import taxes charged by your country's customs authority on arrival. These are paid directly by you on delivery, not included in the order total.
How long until I receive my kukri set?
Total typical timeline 8–15 business days. Forging both pieces in our Kathmandu workshop takes 3–5 business days. DHL Express or FedEx International delivery takes another 5–10 business days. Custom configurations may take longer.
Do you ship kukris to my country?
We ship to most countries worldwide via DHL Express and FedEx International. Some countries restrict the import of bladed weapons. Contact us if unsure about your country's import laws before ordering. Most kukri customers worldwide receive without issue.
