Everest Forge offers a full custom blade-making service where you can request personalized swords, kukris, daggers, machetes , and historical or fantasy replicas. Every piece is hand forged to your specifications, including blade geometry, steel type, handle design, scabbard style, and engravings.
2. What types of blades can you custom forge?
We forge swords , kukris, daggers , machetes , survival blades, historical replicas, and fantasy or movie-inspired creations.
3. Are your custom blades functional or decorative?
All Everest Forge custom blades are fully functional unless you specifically request a decorative display piece.
Design, Planning, and Customization
4. How do I submit a custom blade design?
You can send sketches, photos, concept art, or reference images. Even a rough drawing is enough—our team will convert it into technical forging plans.
5. Can you recreate swords or weapons from movies or games?
Yes. We frequently forge movie and game-inspired weapons such as LOTR swords, The Book of Eli machete, anime blades, and fantasy designs while ensuring they remain functional and balanced.
6. Can I request historical replicas?
Yes. We forge accurate replicas of Viking swords , Roman gladius , Indian talwar, African blade , Filipino swords, medieval longswords, and traditional kukris .
7. What customizations can I choose?
You may customize blade dimensions, fullers, handle material, pommel and guard style, engravings, balance, tang type, finish, scabbard design, and more.
8. Can I choose my handle material?
Yes. Options include rosewood, whitewood, buffalo horn, bone, antler, micarta, hybrid resin, and custom combinations.
9. Can you engrave names, runes, religious symbols, or military mottos?
Yes. We engrave blades, pommels, guards, and scabbards with personalized inscriptions including runes, Sanskrit, Christian crosses, military insignia, dates, and custom artwork.
Forging Process and Materials
10. What steel do you use for custom blades?
We primarily use 5160 high-carbon steel for its toughness, shock resistance, and edge-holding ability. On request we can use other carbon steels like 1095.
11. Are your custom blades hand forged?
Yes. Every blade is fully hand forged using hammer-and-anvil work, refined with grinders and files, and heat-treated for strength.
12. Do you oil temper custom blades?
Yes. All functional blades are differentially hardened and oil tempered to produce a strong edge and a flexible spine.
13. Can you adjust balance, point of balance (POB), and handling?
Yes. We adjust weight distribution depending on your intended use—heavy chopping, martial arts, fast maneuvering, or precision cutting.
14. Do you provide raw or tactical finishes?
Yes. We offer satin, polished, semi-polished, and raw-forged tactical finishes based on your preferred style.

Yes. All swords and kukris come with leather or leather-wrapped wooden scabbards unless otherwise requested.

17. How long does a custom order take?
Most custom projects take several weeks depending on complexity. Large or highly detailed designs require additional time.
18. How much does a custom sword or kukri cost?
Pricing depends on blade size, steel thickness, handle materials, engravings, fullers, and overall complexity. A quote is provided after reviewing your design.
19. Do you require payment upfront?
Smaller orders require full payment. Larger custom blades may use milestone-based payments.
20. Can I make changes after placing an order?
Minor adjustments are possible early in the forging stage. Significant changes may affect price or timeline.
Shipping, Safety, and Legality
21. Do you ship custom blades internationally?
Yes. We ship worldwide where legal. Buyers should confirm their local import regulations for large blades.
22. Are custom blades safe for beginners?
Yes—if used responsibly. We recommend mid-sized blades for beginners to ensure better control.
23. Do you offer a warranty on custom blades?
We cover defects in forging or materials under normal use. Damage caused by misuse or improper handling is not covered.
