Talwar Sword – Hand-Forged Indo-Nepalese Blade with Brass Hilt

The 24-Inch Talwar Sword by Everest Forge blends historical Indo-Nepalese blade design with the ceremonial beauty of a handcrafted brass hilt. Forged in Nepal using traditional blacksmithing techniques, this sword represents both battlefield legacy and ritual symbolism — built to be functional, elegant, and ready for action.

Crafted from 5160 high-carbon steel salvaged from truck leaf springs, the blade is water-tempered to provide optimal hardness and flexibility. The result is a curved 24-inch sabre with excellent slicing ability, sharpened to a fine edge and polished for a semi-reflective finish.

The 6-inch handle is cast in solid brass, shaped in the classic disc-hilt style seen in traditional Mughal and Rajput Talwars. The sword comes with a scabbard for safe storage and ceremonial display. Whether used for martial training, costume, or collection, this Talwar delivers a powerful presence in both form and function.

Historical Significance:

The Talwar is a curved sabre with roots in the Indian subcontinent, heavily influenced by Persian shamshirs and Central Asian weapons. It was adopted by Indian and Nepali warriors alike, most notably during the Mughal and Rajput eras. The brass hilt not only reflects its noble lineage but also signifies its use in ceremonial events, parades, and temple offerings. Its curved blade allows for swift draw cuts and efficient battlefield use, while the weight and form make it ideal for slicing motions.
