Wholesale, dropshipping and private label hand-forged blades — made to order in Kathmandu, no warehoused stock
Hand-Forged Blade Supply for Retailers, Dropshippers and Distributors
We supply hand-forged blades on trade terms to retailers, online stores, distributors, event traders, martial arts and reenactment suppliers, and dropshippers. Swords, kukris and khukuris, daggers, machetes, axes, bowies, forged knives and blade blanks — forged in Tokha-3, Kathmandu by around ten smiths, from 5160 spring steel, oil quenched and tempered by hand.
We hold no stock. Every blade is forged after the order is placed, so you carry no warehoused inventory and no capital tied up in a size or finish that turned out not to sell. You can test a line at low volume and scale it if it works. The cost is time — lead times are real and must be built into what you promise your own customers.
| Model | How it works | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| Wholesale | You order in volume at trade pricing and fulfil yourself | Established shops, event traders, distributors |
| Dropship | You sell, we forge and ship direct to your customer | Online stores testing a category without capital outlay |
| Private label / OEM | Our patterns, your branding and packaging | Brands with an audience and no forge |
| ODM / own design | Your design, forged to your specification | Anyone wanting a product nobody else can list |
| Blank blades | Forged, heat-treated blanks for you to hilt and finish | Knifemakers, handle makers, workshops and schools |
Everest Forge — Trade Enquiries
Tell Us What You Sell and We Will Quote It
Send us your company and country, the categories you are interested in, rough volume per order, and the market you serve. If you already have a design or a specification, send that too — we would rather quote something specific than something generic. There is a checklist further down of everything worth including.
Who Already Sells Our Blades
We are not asking you to be the first. Everest Forge blades are already stocked and sold by specialist retailers in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, and at trade shows.
Kult of Athena carry Everest Forge as a listed brand with their own dedicated brand page. They are among the most respected arms retailers in the world and their catalogue standards are demanding, so a maker being accepted there is a reasonable proxy for whether the work stands up.
Swordis list Everest Forge as a brand with well over a hundred pieces across more than thirty categories, and sell on a dropshipping basis — we forge and ship direct to their customers under their listings.
Weapon Masters and Superior Swords sell Everest Forge blades, Superior Swords serving the New Zealand market.
Stromlo Swords sell our blades in Australia, where local stock shortens delivery considerably — which is the practical argument for a regional account in any market far from Kathmandu.
We also supply a trader who sells our blades in person at trade shows, where a customer can pick a piece up before buying. That is the one thing we cannot offer directly, and a genuinely good fit for hand-forged work.
Those are different arrangements on different terms, which is the point. A market having a retailer in it does not close that market: dropship, wholesale, private label and own-design are separate things and more than one can run alongside another. Tell us what you are proposing and we will say honestly whether it conflicts with anything.
Exclusive Lines Beat Discounts
If you are choosing a supplier on price alone, a hand forge will rarely be the cheapest option and we will not pretend otherwise. Factory-produced blades will always undercut hand-forged ones on unit cost.
What we can do that a factory cannot is make something only you sell. A pattern developed with you, forged to your specification and not listed by us or by anyone else, is worth considerably more to a retailer than a few points of margin on an item twelve other sites also carry. It gives you something to market rather than something to price-match.
Send a sketch, a reference photograph, a museum piece, or a written description with dimensions. We confirm the specification, quote it, and once it is agreed we hold that specification so repeat batches match.
Blank Blades for Makers
One trade line that is easy to overlook: we supply forged and heat-treated blade blanks with no handle, for you to hilt and finish yourself.
That suits knifemakers who want to skip the forging and heat treatment, handle makers and leatherworkers building complete pieces, and craft schools and workshops that need consistent blanks in quantity for teaching. It is also the cheapest way for a maker to test whether our steel and heat treatment suit their work before committing to finished pieces.
Shipping, Duties and Where We Are
We ship worldwide from Kathmandu, and we operate three entities, which matters more to a trade buyer than it does to a retail one.
Everest Forge — Tokha-3, Kathmandu, Nepal. The forge itself.
Everest Forge LLC — Albertson, New York, United States.
Everest Forge — Ascot Park, South Australia, Australia.
For import, duties and delivered-duty-paid arrangements, our duties and import information sets out how shipments are handled. Blade import rules vary considerably by country and some categories are restricted regardless of how they are shipped — tell us your destination market early and we will tell you plainly if anything in your intended range is a problem there. It is far better to find out at the quoting stage.
What to Include in Your Enquiry
There is no form to fill in and no fields to work around, so send as much of this as you can in one message. The more complete the first email, the faster and more accurate the quote — and the fewer rounds of questions before you have a number.
Who you are. Company, country, and whether you are a registered business — some terms differ.
What you want. Categories, specific patterns if you have them, and any specification that matters: blade length, edge treatment, fittings, finish.
How much and how often. Rough volume per order and whether it is one-off or repeating. A repeating order at modest volume is often more useful to us than a large one-off, and we price accordingly.
Your market. Where the blades are going, and who buys from you. It changes what we recommend — a reenactment supplier and an outdoor retailer want different specifications of the same blade.
Your timeline. When you need the first delivery, and any fixed dates such as a season or an event.
What We Will Be Straight About
Four limits, stated up front, because discovering them later wastes your time and ours.
Capacity is finite. We are around ten smiths and everything is made by hand. We would rather decline volume we cannot deliver than accept it and miss your dates.
Hand-forged pieces vary. Within a specification, individual blades differ slightly — that is what hand-made means. If your customers expect machine-identical units, hand-forging is the wrong supply chain and you should know that before you order rather than after your first complaint.
We forge mono-steel 5160 only. We do not make pattern-welded or Damascus blades, and we will not etch a pattern onto monosteel and describe it as lamination. If Damascus is central to your range, we are not your supplier for it.
Lead times are real. Nothing ships from a shelf. Build the forging time into your listings and your customer communications.

Start With a Conversation, Not an Order
Include your company and country, the categories and volumes you have in mind, your market, and your timeline. If we are the right supplier for you we will say so, and if we are not we will say that too. Enquiries are answered by the people who run the forge, not by a sales desk.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer wholesale pricing?
Yes, on trade terms for registered businesses. Pricing depends on category, volume and whether the order repeats, so we quote rather than publish a fixed list. Send your company details, the categories you are interested in and rough volume per order through our contact page, and we will come back with figures.
Do you dropship?
Yes. You sell, we forge and ship direct to your customer. Because nothing is pre-made, the one thing to get right is the lead time shown on your listings — a dropshipper advertising fast dispatch on a made-to-order blade creates a problem for themselves. Set the expectation correctly and the model works well.
What is your minimum order quantity?
It depends on the category and the model. Dropshipping has no minimum in the usual sense, since orders are forged individually. Wholesale and private label orders are quoted on volume. Tell us what you are planning and we will tell you whether it works.
Do you do private label or OEM production?
Yes. We forge our patterns with your branding and packaging, or produce entirely to your own design as ODM work. For an own-design line, send a sketch, a reference photograph or a written description with dimensions. Once a specification is agreed we hold it, so repeat batches match.
Do you already sell through a retailer in my country?
Possibly, and it does not close the door. Everest Forge blades are sold by Kult of Athena, Swordis, Weapon Masters, Superior Swords in New Zealand, Stromlo Swords in Australia, and at trade shows. Those are different arrangements on different terms, and more than one can run alongside another in the same market. Tell us what you are proposing and we will say honestly whether it conflicts with anything existing.
Can I have an exclusive product nobody else sells?
Yes, and it is usually a better arrangement than a discount. A pattern developed with you and not listed by us or anyone else gives you something to market rather than something to price-match. Hand-forged blades will rarely beat factory production on unit cost, so competing on exclusivity is the stronger position.
What are your lead times for a trade order?
They depend on volume and complexity, and we quote them per order rather than promising a blanket figure we might not hold. Because everything is forged after ordering, lead time is the single most important thing to build into your own listings and customer communications. Tell us your dates early, including any seasonal or event deadlines.
Do you supply blade blanks?
Yes. Forged and heat-treated blanks with no handle, for you to hilt and finish. They suit knifemakers, handle and leather makers building complete pieces, and craft schools needing consistent blanks in quantity. It is also the cheapest way to test whether our steel and heat treatment suit your work.
What steel do you use, and do you make Damascus?
Everything is 5160 high-carbon spring steel reclaimed from vehicle leaf springs, oil quenched and tempered by hand, full tang. We do not forge pattern-welded or Damascus blades and we will not etch a pattern onto monosteel and call it lamination. If Damascus is central to your range, we are not the right supplier for that part of it.
Will every blade in a batch be identical?
No, and no honest hand forge will tell you otherwise. Within an agreed specification individual pieces vary slightly, because they are made by hand by different smiths. That variation is what customers who buy hand-forged work are paying for — but if your customers expect machine-identical units, this is the wrong supply chain and it is better to know now.
Who handles import duties and customs?
We ship worldwide and our duties and import information page sets out how shipments are handled, including delivered-duty-paid arrangements. Blade import rules vary considerably by country and some categories are restricted regardless of how they are shipped, so tell us your destination market at the quoting stage and we will flag anything in your intended range that is a problem there.
Are you a manufacturer or a reseller?
A manufacturer. Everything is forged in our own workshop in Tokha-3, Kathmandu by around ten smiths, using traditional methods. We are not sourcing from third-party factories and re-badging, which is why we can hold a specification, produce to your own design, and answer technical questions about how a blade was made.
How do I get in touch about a trade account?
Through our contact page, or on WhatsApp if that is easier. Include your company and country, the categories and volumes you have in mind, the market you serve and your timeline. Enquiries are answered by the people who run the forge rather than a sales desk, so a specific message gets a specific answer.
How quickly will you reply to a trade enquiry?
We aim to answer every trade enquiry, and a complete first message is the fastest route to a quote. Where a request needs costing across several categories or an own-design piece, we may come back with questions before figures. If you have a fixed deadline, say so in the first message.
Do you work with affiliates as well as wholesalers?
Yes, those are separate programmes. Wholesale and dropshipping are for businesses selling our blades; the affiliate programme is for anyone referring customers to us for commission. If you are not sure which suits you, get in touch and we will explain the difference.
