Traditional Sirupate Sword Kukri – Long Blade Khukuri with Rat-Tail Tang Handle
The Traditional Sirupate Sword Kukri is a long, slender, and elegant version of one of Nepal’s most iconic khukuri styles. The word “Sirupate” is derived from the “Siru” grass—tall, thin, and sharp—perfectly describing the slim and elongated blade profile of this kukri. This version is forged with a long blade, giving it the reach and cutting momentum of a short sword while retaining the classic utility of a traditional kukri.
This sword-style kukri is hand-forged using 5160 carbon steel, tempered and sharpened for real-world performance in outdoor use, bushcraft, or farm work. It features a traditional rat-tail tang rosewood handle, offering an authentic grip and balance reminiscent of the original Gurkha kukris used in rural Nepal.
The blade’s long arc gives it powerful cutting ability with less effort, ideal for clearing thick bushes, chopping wood, or use as a display piece for collectors who appreciate true Nepalese blade heritage. It comes with a leather-wrapped wooden scabbard and includes two small utility knives—karda and chakmak.
