SiruPate Khukuri/Kukri – Lightweight Nepalese Kukri for Field and Ceremony
The 15-inch SiruPate Khukuri is a legendary Nepalese blade designed for efficiency, reach, and mobility. Named after the leaf of the “Siru” plant found in the hills of Nepal, this kukri’s slim, curved shape mirrors the graceful form of the leaf, making it light, agile, and razor-sharp. With a longer profile than the standard version, this kukri blends form and function for broader use in both everyday life and traditional rituals.
Traditionally used in domestic work, religious ceremonies, and cultural dances, the SiruPate is not just a cutting tool — it’s a symbol of protection and heritage. Villagers and farmers across the hill regions of Nepal rely on this kukri daily for tasks like clearing undergrowth, cutting small trees, and safeguarding themselves in the wild. The longer 15-inch blade offers extended reach without compromising weight, making it highly effective for bushcraft, farming, and self-defense.
Hand-forged using 5160 high carbon steel and tempered with water, this kukri features a full 15-inch blade with a deep curve and slender profile. The handle is made from Indian rosewood and shaped for balance and grip, fitted with a steel bolster and butt cap for durability. The 6-inch handle length ensures greater control and leverage for extended use. The traditional scabbard is made of wood wrapped in buffalo leather, and it comes complete with Karda and Chakmak utility tools.
