Historical Angkhola Kukri – Hand-Forged Traditional Khukuri with Double Fuller Design
The Historical Angkhola Kukri is a robust and battle-proven blade style that draws inspiration from traditional Gurkha weaponry used in the early 20th century. Featuring a broad 14-inch blade with deep fullers (grooves), this kukri offers superior strength, reduced weight, and excellent impact absorption—making it ideal for heavy-duty tasks while preserving the original fighting spirit of Nepal’s legendary blades.
Hand-forged in Nepal using 5160 high carbon steel sourced from recycled truck leaf springs, the blade is water-tempered and sharpened to a functional edge. The signature Angkhola fuller acts like an “I-beam,” reinforcing the spine while keeping the blade agile. This historic design is especially valued for its battlefield performance and ability to chop, slice, and pierce with controlled power.
The 6-inch rosewood handle is traditionally shaped and constructed with a rat-tail tang, peened over a brass pommel cap for secure durability. The kukri comes with a handcrafted leather scabbard that features traditional fittings, making it a practical and collectible tool for both field and heritage display.
