Chainpure Kukri – Traditional Village Working khukuri with Rosewood Handle

The 10-Inch Chainpure Kukri is a time-tested working blade rooted in the daily lives of Nepal’s rural communities. Forged in the traditional style by village blacksmiths, this kukri is designed for practical use—cutting wood, chopping firewood, clearing brush, or day-to-day farm and field work.

Hand-forged from 5160 high carbon steel, the blade features a semi-polished finish with excellent edge hardness and spine flexibility. It follows the true Chainpure design: a rat-tail tang construction with a smooth, contoured rosewood handle—lightweight, reliable, and built to get work done.

The scabbard is handcrafted from wood and wrapped in cotton and buffalo leather, reflecting the utilitarian style used across Nepal’s hill regions. Two small tools—Karda (for small cutting tasks) and Chakmak (for sharpening)—are housed alongside the main blade for field maintenance.
